Trump will not stop on November 4th

For him, the election is the first battle in a campaign

In The Rock, there’s a scene in which General Hummel (the character played by Ed Harris) wants something. First he asks for what he wants, then he orders it, and then he pulls out a gun and demands it.

For Trump, the upcoming election is the ask. Think of it as the court of public opinion. If Trump loses in this court, he’s going to do what he’s always done when he loses — he’ll keep fighting by any means necessary, beyond what anyone would have imagined possible. He learned that from his first Roy Cohn (AG Barr is his second Roy Cohn).

Consider the housing discrimination lawsuit filed by the federal government against Trump (yes, he’s always been a racist) and Trump’s father. The Trumps fought for 20 months. Along the way, they filed a 100 million dollar counter-claim, and managed to terrify one of their own employees to the extent that he was worried he’d be “bumped off” by the Trumps in retaliation for providing information about their racist tenant screening procedures. The man with the gun is always lurking.
