Our oldest son arrived just a few months before yours. Our next (and last) son is just 18 months younger. We raised them in NYC, and they never learned how to drive (no need--freedom was a metrocard away). I'm ashamed, as a White man, to say that every time I see a Daunte Wright or a Philando Castile, I'm glad they don't drive. I know that this won't keep them safe, but it's one less worry.
