I’m tired of hearing about what Trump is going to do

Now we’re treated to a story on CNN about how Democrats are finally nearing a tipping point in regard to impeaching Trump.

Except that:

… House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who sharpened her rhetoric over the weekend, is still not committing to moving forward with impeachment proceedings — though she is keeping the door open.
The reason: The substance of the complaint is not yet clear. And it’s still unclear how the Trump administration will respond.

I can only respond to this nonsense by quoting General Ulysses S. Grant:

Oh, I am heartily tired of hearing about what Lee is going to do. Some of you always seem to think he is suddenly going to turn a double somersault, and land in our rear and on both of our flanks at the same time. Go back to your command, and try to think what we are going to do ourselves, instead of what Lee is going to do.
